The Designer | Priya Patil
That Gypsy was conceptualised in 2019 by Designer Priya Patil , Alumni of Nottingham Trent University U.K and The National Institute of Fashion Technology N.I F.T India. Priya's, own love for accessories inspired her to begin That Gypsy which was birthed in the heart of Mumbai. "Fashion Accessories aren't bound by a persons size and hence, make every man & woman happy... getting to be part of that happiness is my greatest joy".
Priya's fashion career spans across India, United States and United Kingdom having worked for fashion houses in India & New York. Priya later spread her wings in the world of Bollywood, designing & styling for India's top celebrities. Her work has been fondly appreciated by the legendary Mr. Amitabh Bachchan for designing his collection for the popular television game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'.
In February 2007, Priya was chosen as 'India's Creative Entrepreneur' of the Year winning the title of 'India's Creative Future 2007' for her accessory line (Organised by the British Council U.K & The Indian Institute of Management I.I.M Bangalore) She was among the few chosen by the B.B.C (U.K) to be aired on their four week program viz. India's Creatives on B.B.C Outlook and B.B.C India Rising. Priya was felicitated for her work by the wife of then British Prime Minister, Tony Blair- Mrs. Cherie Blair- at their 10 Downing Street Residence in London.
